• Text messages or Email

This has been a famous way these Criminals defraud you, they send you a text message from an online tool called "Bulk SMS", this message will probably come with your bank name or something quite similar to it, or from an email identical to your Banks email.

Most of you make mistakes of making your personal information public, your full Name, phone number, personal email, Date of birth, etc. all this can be used against you by Hackers. Rather than set separate information for your social media accounts and don't make your birth year public you can make your birthday and birth month public but not the year.

This is the oldest and still effective to date as many Nigerians are new to Banking systems.

It entails Hackers calling you, Impersonating Bank Officials, and getting you to send sensitive information and passwords to them, Imagine getting a call from wasiu at zenith Bank and he is asking you to send him your Bank information, a Bank has everything they need about you and even if a bank should call it would be inviting you to solve a problem, introducing new offers or ensuring you're satisfied with their services. A bank won't call you and ask for sensitive details ensure you block the caller and report to your bank.

Always avoid accessing your Bank apps and sites when on a VPN, because it is a private network, and while on it your details, password, and pins can be accessed and stolen.
